Start thinking about people who live in other countries. There are people who have to eat bugs, live with the HIV virus everyday. People who have no idea what even the internet is.. If you can say all your limbs works and you have a place to sleep at night. Your life doesnt suck, it may not be great or a Mtv style life but it is far from bad. You need to appreciate what you have and stop worring about what you dont..
But since i have no clue who you are and where you live and etc take this with a grain of salt

Read a real positive book - like the New Testament of the Bible.
And / Or . . .
Go to an old folks home / nursing home, and see how bleak life can really be and appreciate all of the blessings you have that you didn't realize you have.
Go to a detention center / jail and see how much a person can mess up their own life and see how fortunate you are.
Go to a home for the mentally / physically disabled and see how their day to day life struggles makes your getting up each morning as a prayer of thanks.
Go to a homeless shelter and see how depression and poor life decisions can land people there who didn't know they'd wind up in this predicament. Be thankful you have a roof over your head.
There are plenty of things you can do. Sitting about moping about yourself - having "pity parties" will not help you. You need to get out of yourself, join your community, and do for others. You will be amazed at how wonderful you'll feel about your life after that.

You know I had the same Question in my head 3 months ago!! Until i got into a car accident which almost took my life away. and thats when my life change. I was on the hospital bed for 7 days straight, all i could do was watch tv on my back. my point is, don't take life for granted, live it to the fullest.
Anyway, back to your question, you should go turn on the tv, and tune into news stations such as MSNBC, DISCOVERY, etc, which shows you the whole world, such as places in Africa, Asia, especially Cambodia right now, and even Amercia. It shows you all kinds of people, blind people, mute people, people who can't walk, people who are conjoined twins, people who got deformed heads which makes them look like literally monstairs(on discovery channel, "medical Mysteries"),
now ask your self this question " what if that was you?" I'm assuming you are healthy, and able to walk, talk, see, and healthy right now. But what if you were one of those people with these diseases or if you were blind. You beter take your life serious and have fun.
I was watching someting about cambodia the other day, and they showed child sex slaves which said they were hiv positive and the child was only 5 years old, Seriously.
""Overall, I think you should tune yourself in for these channels so you can really SEE life from other people's point of View and compare it to your owns. Other than that, You need to go live your life to the fullest because Time flys and you can never turn the clock Back. ""

by doing things for other people.... maybe you have a widow in you neighborhood...or some elderly person that needs help, even if you don't feel like it go and see what you can do to help, YOU WILL BE THE ONE THAT IS HELPED also maybe it's time for a change of friends, join a youth group at a Church , and even when you don't feel positive say positive things to yourself ( even if its a lie...it will become the truth believe me ) say things are getting better and better, life is good, .....and don't give up " call thoughts things that aren't, as though they are" and they will come to be ( the Bible tells you that and the Bible does not lie. I'll pray for you right now ... now you go and have a better day .......JESUS LOVES YOU

Volunteer. Find a cause that touches your heart, tickles your fancy or where you'll find like-minded folks doing good. You can give blood, your time, your creativity or your good wishes to make the world a better place.
Volunteering will take you out of yourself and your worries for just a little while and bring a little merit your way, which might be just the kick your karma needs to shift you in the right direction and lighten up your life.
Check out places like Volunteer Canada, Volunteering Works or CharityVillage (I've provided links in the sources) for more information. If you're not a Canuck like me, just google "Volunteering" for your country and you'll get lots of links.
Good luck to you, honey. Wishing you every happiness.

simple things - Where have you gone?
Have you tried "self complimention" - it is a true and proven method.
morning, afternoon and evenings give yourself a compliment - write it down! -Make a scheme for yourself.
very very very very important: It MUST be small things;
-I did the dishes
-I asked for help about a problem at the office
-I gave a passerby directions
-etc =small!
Why must it be small? Because it is known that people in general emphasise negative things more than positive things.- You get thoughts built into you like " Why should I compliment myself about giving a passerby directions? Everybody else would do that too." - When the FACT is that the passerby was lost- and you helped him or her to get somewhere.
This is not about fooling yourself - It is about "balancing" the positive things by noticing them.

hey hung, i'm sure you're going to get a lot of the typical answers that you can probably expect so i won't go there but i will recommend you check out a site that has changed my life, perspective, attitude etc. go to awmi.net (andrew wommack) and listen to whatever message fits from their free archive of radio/tv programs. Caution: these are jesus freak things by a nerdy looking texas hick but if you give him a chance, you will not regret it.
