I'm not sure what you are refering to. A divided tank? Probably not, as the site of other bettas will stress them out.
A betta should be kept in a tank that is one to two gallons at least with a top as wide as the bottom to allow proper air to permeate the water

It depends on the size of the tank. If it is at least 5 gallons then you can do it. Some people say that the bettas get stressed by seeing each other. I have done this and for the first week or so they try to get to each other, then they figure out that they can't get to the other side, so they just ignore each other.
Make sure the divider has no holes big enough for a betta to squeeze through, and make sure it fits snug along all sides of the aquarium. Also make sure it goes at least 2-3 inches above the surface of the water, because they will jump.

The pretty bettas are the male bettas and must be kept seperate. The tanks that hold a number of betas and seperate the thank into sections are good if you want to have more than one and have their colors show more brightly. Bettas use their color as a defense and a warning so if they are near other male bettas they will show their colors for status and thus you will have a brighter tank. When they are threatened they will also use their colors. As far as if they like it or not, I dont know. If they can see another betta then they are already agrivated. If you want to see more bold colors this tank may work for you, if you are worried about how happy your pet will be, I would not put two near eachother.

a divided tank? yes, as long as you also provide them with plants to hide in. the divider allows them to see each other, so they can flare an get a good workout, but if they need to get away the plants can hide them.
but what is more important is having enough room. each betta should have no less than 2.5 gallons of heated and filtered water to himself, that means a divided tank for two bettas should be 5 gallons total. keep the water around 78°F to 80°F and you'll have two happy bettas.

By bettas I take it that you're referring to Siamese fighters. Have you noticed that in the aquarium shops the males are kept separately in glass jars, that's because male fights male for mastery. If you put two male bettas in the same tank you will see them flare their gills and then....look out they'll go at each other and fight until one is dead. And so it would be favourite to put a non clear divider as so they dont get exerted. Also make sure that the divider is high enough because they can jump.

check out this site www.uniquebettas.com. You only need a divided tank if you are keeping two in a tank. Each betta should have at least 1 gallon of water on his or her side of the divided tank. You can not put two males together-they will kill each other. you also can not put a male in with a female unless she is ready to breed and only during the breeding. If you put a male in with a female they will shred each others finnage.

a divided tank with enough space is good -- go with a 5 gallon tank and divide it. if you go smaller than that then you might want to reinforce the divider -- they can get a little crazy and overly aggressive ones will bang against it. if you are talking about the little boxes then let me think -- um NO! get them a space they can swim around and be a fish.

If you're going to have them in the same tank, you have to have a divider. Even that isn't full proof. I had 2 betas in one of those divided tanks, one managed to jump over and kill the other one.
