Although I advocate a US Theocracy based on an amended US constitution proclaiming the US a Christian country yet protecting the rights of the individual, I think it is a shame that a country that promotes smoking, porn use, abortions, alcohol use, etc... uses this as its motto.

I think it should. It really bothers me to see it on money. Money is the dirtiest, most vile man-made creation ever. It is a shame to see the NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD on filthy money.

Opinions?

You have the Quote wrong. money is not the route of all evil . The LOVE of money is the route of all evil. As for money being filthy, Mine isn't. I EARN mine,.FILTHY money is money not earned. It is money from DRUGS & other crimes. As for having ( IIN GOD WE TRUST' what would you have for a logo? It was put on the money because that is how the founding fathers felt about this country.I dont see the country promoting smoking ( they tax the death out of it) porno ( They have laws against it) abortions ( liberal court)Alcohol( again taxes).Remember this is a FREE land & if you dont like our money get some at a bank of your choise in some other country & try spending it here, GOOD LUCK// The American dollar is good world wide.

As a Christian, I think that our money is an excellent place to put "In God we trust." Your logic for removing the phrase is: "God is clean, but money is dirty. Therefore, we should not have God's name on money." To me that logic makes no sense. If you are a Christian, you should think about the messages that this imprint imparts:
+"Trust in God - not in humans or human creations."
+"In the US, we recognize a Higher Power than Government."
+"In the US, you can worship the God of your choice - it doesn't say 'Allah', 'Jehova', 'Buddha', or any other specific deital name - just 'God'"

Not to mention that money is everywhere! It's like having a Billboard on every steet corner reminding everyone in whom they should place thier trust.

So yes - keep it there. As long as we are a God-recognizing society, God will bless us. As soon as we start forgetting about Him - He will start forgetting about us.

1) We shouldn't be a "Christian" country.
2) I think "In God We Trust belongs on our money. Any one who thinks that phrase is un American, is perfectly welcome to give me all their money to ease their guilty consciences. I always try to be helpful.
