I doubt that you would be given antibiotics just in case. You may have misunderstood. You could have cystitis, try taking an over the counter remedy and if that does not help then go back to the doctor

Really sounds like a bladder, urinary tract or kidney infection. Go back to the doctor and get tested again!

I've had this happen to me before! I thought it was a UTI or STD or something... They ran all the tests and came up with nothing. So after doing a little research I found my answer: It would happen to me when I ate "irritating" foods in large amounts and didn't drink enough water. It happens to me with hot sauce and coffee, just to name a couple. As soon as I started drinking more water to flush out my system, all the pain went away and I was back to normal! After figuring all this out I have talked to some other females that experience the same problem. Drink lots of water!!! Hope this info helps you out :)

It doesn't matter what it is, what it is not, is getting better. Your Doctor has no way of knowing that the medication he prescribed is not working, and as it probably says on your follow-up sheet, if you are feeling increased pain, or seeing no improvement, return,or at LEAST call your Doctor.
That's what he does. Feel better!

That happened to a friend of mine... Turns out it was from drinking too many organic smothies (like Odwalla or Fresh Samanthas) and taking vitamins. It's was a reaction from too much Vitamin C.

Yes you should go back. If you are in pain, something could be wrong. See a different doctor when you go back. Could be an STD.
