Because cartoons are colorful and fun. Often the story line of cartoons is better than an actual movie. They usually have a positive message too. I still like cartoons and I'm not a kid anymore. Have you seen the cartoon Open Season? Funny stuff. =0) Or Chicken Little ? Cute one there. If you haven't watched a cartoon in a while, maybe you should give it a try. They are way better than Desperate Housewives. Blech! Barf on the warped & desperate women, and Blech! on the producer of the dime a dozen disgusting programs on the tube. Give me more cartoons.

Well, technically I'm a children (but I like to consider myself a tween) and I'd say we like them because... well, I used to think real people were boring, so I would pretend I knew the TV characters from my favorite cartoons (whatever they may have been back then) but then I grew out of them... and now I watch anime instead! So my final answer... REAL PEOPLE ARE BORING!
