are beattas fun to have?

They are very fun if you put them in the right environment. If you put them in an unheated, unfiltered , small bowl or tank, they will not be much fun because all they do is sit there all the time. If you put them in at least 2.5 gallons, with a filter and heater, they will become quite active and very interesting to watch.

Yes they are so much fun to have! I have a male crown tail an he can go through hoops,play soccer and even eat out of my hand! But they are only fun if you want to change their water and feed them.You need to change their water every two weeks and feed them 2-3 times a day.

One Betta by himself is no fun but two Betta's in separate containers or one container with a clear glass divider keeping them apart can be entertaining. They will try to get at each other to fight (til the death) and they will flair their gills, spread their fins in a display and shake their heads side to side. A mirror works as a second betta for a little while but he eventually figures it out.

i like my bettas -- i have a lot - they all have different personalities. people are always kind of surprised they can get attached to a fish. if you keep them in small bowls they just kind of sit there miserable. try giving them at least a gallon bowl or two gallons would be preferable.

YES! I just got one a couple of months ago, and he's fun (he's very energetic). Just take good care of him/her!

I wouldn't say "fun" so much. But they are really pretty and interesting to watch. They don't swim around that much and they move kinda slow but they are really pretty.. ;)
