It all depends on the situation. I'm 36 years old and my partner is 52 years old. I'm more mature for my age and he doesn't look his. We have a lot in common and believe in a lot of the same things. I had already fell for him before finding out how old he was(I had figured he was about 40 years old when we first met, 5 years later we started dating and I find out he's really 49 years old. We've been dating for 3 years now! I think it really has a lot to do with the maturity of the 2 people and what they want out of the relationship(long-term or short-term, sex, etc.)

No... I mean, there's a certain point in age gaps where you kind of have to step back and realize that it might be just weird (say, a 30 year difference?). But seriously, I don't think it should be frowned upon so easily when there's a noticeable gap in ages.

This might be because I'm attracted to men often 20 years old than I am, but still. People can get easily hung up on things, ya know?

im sorry but no 25 year old should be having a relationship with a 60 year old regardless of the fact that they are both mature adults.....overall it doesnt matter, but flat out saying it doesnt ever matter is just ridiculous

No, age shouldn't matter.
But realistically in most cases, a big age difference (over 15 years) is to be considered because of maturity levels, experiences, and plans.

no, love is love romantic or not, sex is sex romantic or not. It shouldn't matter to any other than the people involved.

I think the only time it would matter is if you are trying to have kids. Otherwise, it's just a number.

As long as you're both older than the age of consent, and you're at the same maturity level, and you like the same things, and you like each other...no it shouldn't.
But it will, eventually.

i dont know if it should matter but it does. right from the get go you will have different life experience and expect different things from a partner if you are from different generations

Well, I personally can't date anyone that is just way older then me but that is just my feelings. I don't think it's wrong to date someone significantly older then you or younger but i just can't do it!!!!!
