I think that the Hart Trophy will end up going to Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and i think their are good reasons why he should be considered for the award, but i am strongly against him getting it, and hope he finishes 2nd or 3rd in the voting against 2 players who deserve it more...
I think Roberto Luongo has been very valuable to his canucks but i see him finishing 3rd (one behind Crosby)
the players hand down who SHOULD recieve the award is MARTIN BRODEUR...
it's not that i am a fan of the goalies, it's that this guy has hands down been the best performer and most valuable player to both his team and the league this year...
he leads goaltenders is virtually every statistical category and he isn't on the best offencive team, and they don't have the greatest defence...
still they are amoungst the NHL's elite teams and that is thanks to Martin Brodeur and his MVP season....

Very good question! We got a tough one this year. Sydney Crosby racking up the Assists and Points and Martin Brodeur racking up the Shutouts and Wins. I would have to say one of these guys would win it. There are others like Lecavalier, Briere, St. Louis, and Joe Thornton that have awesome years, but Syd and Marty must have the most incredible stats. On one side, there's Crosby, who has 15 or so more points than anyone else in the league. This guy is definately the best offensive threat in the league and that deserves a Hart Trophy nomination, obviously. Then there's Brodeur, the defensive threat. He leads in two major goalie statistics with the most shutouts and the most wins. He is also 2nd in Goals Against Average and Save Percentage. He is basically having his best season ever, and that's saying a lot since this guy is a future Hall of Famer before this year even started. He is on pace to have the most wins ever by a goaltender in one season as well as the most shutouts. He is no doubt going to win the Vezina (Best Goaltender) and hopefully the Jennings (Least Goals Allowed) Trophies. Therefore, in my opinion, Brodeur should get the Hart this year for his awesome gameplay that is incomparable to any other goalie this year. Marty should get the Hart Trophy if everything stays the way it is. Sydney will win it some other year, for goodness sake he's the future of the NHL! However, again, Martin Brodeur should take the MVP award this year.

No Question: Martin Brodeur. he leads the League in Numerous Categories. the only thing he's not leading right now is the the save %, he's second after mason, but give Brodeur some time and he'll adjust.
