I would not buy aturtle or tortoise over the web. You need to see where they have been kept and how they have been looked after before you choose one. First find out how to look after it and the care it needs for a long and healthy life.
Care sheets are free on my web site

ash9494boo, turtlesale is like a puppy mill. you wouldn't buy your puppies from a place that they are kept in very small areas, so why would you buy a turtle thats been kept in a small tank?
To answer the question, there are many places, all of which are more expensive than actually going to the store, believe it or not. I will list some sites here: ReptileDepot.com, LLLReptile.com, ReptileCity.com, LiveDeal.com is an aucton site that you can purchase many turtles from, so is ReptileAuctions.com.
Think about it though. Turtles require a lot. I reccomend you buy a western painted, as they dont get AS big as RES(red ear sliders). I have a painted and he's about 1 1/2 years old, only about 4 inches. Dumb as a rock too. Remember you need at least a 2.0 reptisun lamp, and those are around 12-20$. It'll be cheap to keep the turtle, but to set it up costs a bunch. Look at my Question here titled "Is this crazy?" Its about my pond idea.
Good luck looking for a turtle! (I recomend reptile city, as all their animals are captive bred.)

I'd think twice before you buy a turtle. Few people really know how big they get, what all they need to take care of them, and how much you will eventually spend on them. Please remember that red eared slider turtles can get about a foot long and will need a HUGE tank or pong by the time it is full grown. Also you'll need a high-powered filter, UV lights, and basking places for starters.

The shipping costs of turtles adds a lot to the total, and it is ALWAYS better to see the turtle before you buy it.
Also- remember that it is illegal to sell turtles under 4" long. Any vendor that offers to sell one to you, even if they make you sign a meaningless form, is breaking the law.
