We are from Leicester in the Midlands and are currently living in Galicia, Spain. There are many plus points about living here. Our children are not frowned upon (ages 10 & 12) no matter where we take them. They have learned to speak, fluently, another language. The people are wonderful and the weather, although it can be wet here, is warmer than the UK and the summers are wonderful. This christmas we had a bbq on the beach the weather was great. Although we will at some time be returning to the UK, it's great to live in a different way.

At the moment it would be refreshing to live in a cheaper country, like Poland,Slovakia,
In a non-eu country it would be Serbia, because its close to Croatia,Austria,Slovenia,....and also fairly cheap living.
For sheer beauty it would have to be Croatia,(split) Mainland Greece(volos) Montenegro or the southern part of Italy.
....but the two most beautiful countries, Austria and Switzerland are just two expensive, as like most other european countries.

Italy. Ive always loved Italian culture and food! (OK, especially the food) In my experience the people are friendly as well and don't laugh at your attempts to speak Italian.
