I have 2 hard drives, one of which is split in two. I have a 160 GB which is split into 40 + 120 (40 being my C:) and I have another drive that's 200 GB. When I format I only format my C: Partition, that way I keep all my important files. The problem is I formatted and it labeled my E: drive (200 GB) C: and vice-versa. So now my OS default drive is E:, which is annoying because everything installs on C: by default.

Yea, you always want to make sure the computer knows which drive to designate as the C:/ drive. In this day and age of card readers and SATA hard drives, it is easy for the computer to pick the wrong drive to assign the C:/ letter to.

Always install windows with nothing more than your original os drive installed on the machine, then add the other ones later.

All you can do now is reformat and reinstall.

Try removing the 200GB drive from the computer before reinstalling - that way it can't get confused as to which drive should be C:. Then, once it's reloaded, hook the 200g drive back up and it'll properly label it.
