Israel: the only country in the Middle East that allows genuine freedom of conscience and protects sacred sites of all faiths.
Non-Jews in Israel - indigenous minorities and new immigrants - practice their religions freely and openly, as individuals and on institutional levels.
Disagreements among Jews over Israel's character as a "Jewish and democratic state" are settled democratically, without religious warfare or violence.
Religious controversy is often defused via compromise arrangements and detour mechanisms rather than naked power plays. Over the past three decades, Israel has become more inclusive, tolerant and pluralistic in matters of religion.
In contrast, in all too many neighboring Arab countries, extremist streams of Islam and growing intolerance for "the Other" - Muslim or non-Muslim - have become dominant.
The Palestinian Authority's reckless behavior and utter failure to uphold religious freedom or to respect and protect members of other faiths and their institutions - Jewish or Christian - make the PA no different than other intolerant Arab regimes.
Christian Palestinians have become a persecuted minority in Palestinian society under Palestinian self-rule. Many have fled to the west, most others are afraid to speak up.
The Palestinians are not worthy of stewardship over the holy sites of others.

Israel protects the freedom to all religious groups.
I can provide you with this example
Christians pray freely in their churches and they are not taxed, they are no restrictions placed on them, and their religious sites are protected by the law.
Muslims pray freely and their religious sites are protected. In fact, five times a day you can hear Muslim call to prayer.
During the Lebanese War in1982 Israel went in to protect the Christians and when they withdrew thousands of Christians followed them into Israel.
During the Kosovo violence, Israel saved 100 Muslim families and settled them in Israel.
There is even a Buddhist Temple in Tel Aviv.
All religions pray freely.
Try being a Christian in Saudi Arabia. Ask Coptics their situation in Egypt or how the Christians are treated in Sudan or Somalia. Ask why the Taliban blew up statues of Buddhas in Afghanistan.
Israel respects everyone

Israel is a democracy just like the USA. Anyone can believe in the religion of their choice. There are not only Jews in Israel but Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, etc. Only a handful of people in Israel adhere strictly to Judaism. Some are atheists. Many are reformed Jews.

i'm from Israel and that i've got constantly felt that there is freedom of religion there, besides the incontrovertible fact that it is not an analogous variety of "freedom" as interior the U.S. the factor is, Israelis are very direct human beings haha, they do no longer want to sugarcoat issues and are often sarcastic... i'm no longer speaking approximately individual human beings, basically the subculture customarily. they do no longer seem to be as politically maximum appropriate and careful to no longer step over specific lines like they're in united statesa.. It does no longer mean you could no longer prepare Christianity there, basically that it might possibly no longer be perceived precisely the type you're used to. additionally you'll be able to desire to keep in mind that Israel has constantly been in wars by some skill based around faith, and so clearly there's a great variety of hatred. there is not any separation of Church and State, or a minimum of no longer an analogous style as is cutting-edge in united statesa. and different worldwide places with comparable governments, so faith is a delicate concern. yet additionally keep in mind that this became only one instruct. it may desire to be a greater offensive instruct, at an analogous time as you may discover others a lot greater respectful.

Israel has no constitution; however, the law provides for freedom of worship, and the government generally respects this right in practice.
