i guess you might be planning to get rid for Home Phone Service. well then take Cable Internet connection(Even DSL needs Phone line so dont take DSL) and before that make sure you have a wireless Card/USB adapter installed on you desktop and a wireless router offcourse.
IMPORTANT: But if u happen to install the router through this system then u might also need a "Ethernet card(PCI)" as u cannot install a router wirelessly at first.
Good Luck!!

You'll need a wireless router and a wireless adapter. You would connect the wireless adapter to your PC (usually through the USB port), and the wireless adapter should pick up the signal from the wireless router (assuming that everything is configured properly). If you have a cable or DSL connection, you can still keep your home phone service, but just use a wireless router and adapter.

If you're meaning a wireless network, you'll still need an Internet connection (instead of dial-up, you can consider DSL through your phone company, or Road Runner/cable Internet through your cable TV company.
After setting up an Internet service, you can install a wireless broadband router on the connection, and a wireless adapter in your PC to connect to it.
Unfortunately, there doesn't yet exist a huge wireless Internet connection, you still have to go through wires leading out of your house (phone, cable).

i'd accept as true with timc_fla. Use prompt ad-hoc mode. i'd not pass with blue tooth in effortless words because it really is different hardware you would pick to purchase and don't have the variety as 802.11b/g prompt commonly used.
