Girlie is correct about one outlet per spur, but you can safely have two outlets per spur. The regulations have changed, but not the laws of physics.

fused spurs: as many as you like while maintaining the required efli.
unfused: no more than the number of sockets already on the ring final circuit and only one socket-outlet per spur.

No more then there are sockets on the ring in each room, and not more then two single, or one double, or one multisocket per spur. 70's - 90's Sparks.
