Doctors do not recommend using walkers.

Falls down stairs in walkers used to be one of the most common infant injuries until they changed the recommendations over a decade ago.

3 months is a bit young. Your little one needs to be on the floor teaching himself/herself how to crawl, roll over and sit up by themselves. The main problem with walkers are that babies who are put into walkers early tend not to get as much tummy time and floor time as babies who are not put in walkers/ seats/ jumpers/ exersaucers.

I used a walker after my little one was sitting up by herself and pulling herself up on furniture to stand. Because she was always pulling herself up and then falling, and pulling things over with her, it was actually safer to block the room and let her run around in her walker...

Congrats on new addition!

Actually, those are extreamly bad for your baby. Read up on them. Im pretty sure even the AAP recommends not using them.

Walkers encourage babies to push and point their toes when walking, so they wont walk properly when you take them out, it also makes their spine curve because you are putting all their weight on their lower back too early.

I put my kids in the walker as soon as they could sit up. As long as her back is strong enough she should be ok.
