I just moved into this rent house a month ago, and I am thinking of moving... AGAIN! The house that we rented is really huge, and I was in such a hurry to move.. it didn't occur to me that I really don't need that much space! How do I give my "cool-yet-grouchy" landlord my 1 month notice to vacate? HELP PLEASE!!!

Let your landlord know as soon as possible how you feel. Find out what he is willing to do to help, if anything. It's really up to the agreement you signed, unless he's willing to be nice about it. Find out your options and go from there. As a landlord myself, I always let a person out of the agreement as long as they are responsible for any damage, and pay any costs of re-renting. It really helps no one to be difficult. For some landlords it makes a big difference as to why a person wants to move. If there is good cause they are more reasonable.

If it's month-to-month, all you need do is write a 30-day notice.

If you signed a lease, it will be harder to get out of. Talk to the landlord, and hope the "cool" side will prevail.

If you signed a lease then your out of luck. I'm stuck in my lease at apartments tht are living hell for 2 more monthes. Think before you sign the dotted line next time

If this is in the lease, just do it. If this is against the lease, you will have more trouble than it is worth. You believed that the rent was appropriate for you when you moved in, I suggest that you stay.
