My grandmother had several aloe vera plants and whenever she needed something for a burn, cut or abraision, she pinched off a blade and rubbed the gel on it. The plant has healing properties.
I guess I'd better get an aloe vera plant eh? I'm a grandmother too.

Bactine is good. Cuts seem to heal faster using it, and a bandaid if needed.

Hydrogen peroxide with a side of new-skin liquid bandage. I have a cat that slices my hands open a lot so I have stock in these two products.

Neosporin definitely, if it is worse, try black salve, it goes deeper but a tad on the smelly side though.

If it's bad enough, a deep-fryer works great. For minor abrasions, my George Foreman grille does a great cauterization.
