always used to be the perfect student-straight A's all through high school. Then came college and pre-med.
Also, I have never had a b/f. In jr. high, I used to think, "It'll happen in high school." In high school, I used to think, "It'll happen in college." Now I'm on the brink of turning 21-It hasn't happened. Oh and friends? They always seem to have plans-with my roommate. This ultimately renders them too occupied to pick up the phone and invite me to their outings. Some friends, huh? If you look at my phone, in fact, you'll find the only calls I get are from mom & dad.
I'm just so scared that my life is going to be some mediocre joke, that I'll end up alone once my parents, God forbid, pass away, I'll be alone. I'll literally be the crazy old woman (old maid) who lives in a (mediocre) house, w/ a mediocre job (b/c she didn't make it into med school) full of cats. I don't even like cats! :( What do I do? I'm so lonely it hurts..

Been there, done that!

Read "I Kissed Dating Good-bye" by Joshua Harris. Or get some of his videos that tell you how to be happy where you are in the relationship game. Bf's are not all they are cracked up to be and you should concentrate on what you want to do with life at the moment. Sounds like school stuff is playing a major role in your life right now and you'll need to be making some major decisions soon so don't worry about throwing a boyfriend in the mess at the moment.

Hang out where people do what you like to do or where you can meet people like you want to be and learn from others life experiences. Be a friend and you'll make friends. Dump the ones that don't have time for you. Look into volunteer work in the field you like. You'll meet people out of your age range but that's life - and friendship. And the older ones have sons & nephews, the younger ones have uncles & older cousins....etc.

Most important, enjoy the process of meeting people and the friendships & relationships will happen!
