Females do not seem to have this problem, but in my observation males are forever concerned with being seen as "manly" or "macho", and also seem to think that others can jeopardize this status. I honestly don't understand it. Thoughful answers only, please.

Many men dont care about what you are describing. And for every man you see with that behavior I can show you a woman who is obsessed with being viewed as very feminine.

I guess I am what you would call a MANLY MAN, I am a cop and corrections officer in a prison and former military I like sports, hunting, fishing and scuba diving, I am happily married.

I guess what you are getting at is we tend to really defend our manhood. We are taught from birth that men are strong and need to protect others, anything that would be unmanly could be viewed as weakness.

Same reason men really don't care if their buddy shows up at the gun club wearing the same shirt as you. For many females this would be a real problem. Most guys would just think their Friend is a smart guy with good taste in shirts.

I have a feeling that sex is at the bottom of everything men do. It's okay, God made them that way on purpose to insure procreation of the human race.
