Depends on whether or not she needs surgery. When I broke my ankle I had to stay for 2 days including the emergency room wait, surgery, and recovery. I'm told that's unusually long these days. In theory they're also supposed to determine whether you're able to get around on crutches or not, and if not, teach you. But many people have told me they aren't really careful about that, or even making sure you leave with a pair of crutches.

If she doesn't need surgery to fix her ankle, at most she will be home in the next couple of days. If it just needs to be set and a cast put on, she'll probably be home in a few hours.

Depends on how bad the break is (if it's broken). She will be there at least a few hours. If it's really bad, she may need surgery.

It's likely to take most of the day because of the x-rays and casting and everything. But she won't be staying overnight unless there are complications.
