Whenever I press a button on my wii remote the 4 lights at the bottom start blinking and keep blinking for about 5-10 sec. Also my mouse doesn't show on my TV screen for the wii so I can't do anything. I tried turning the wii off and on but it didn't work. I tried turning my remote off and on but it just blinked and I tried re-syncing the remote but it just started blinking again! HELP!

Don't worry this happened to me TWICE. There can be 3 things wrong, either you need new batteries, you need to re-sync your remote and console by pushing the red button next to the place where you put your batteries in the remote and then press the red button next to your memory card slot,or the wire attached to the sensor bar is loose or disconnected completely. If none of these are the problem then you should try contacting Nintendo and see if they can replace your remote, Also about the mouse thing, make sure your sitting in a good spot so that your sensor bar is in line with the sensor on your remote and that nothing is blocking the sensor bar, Hope this helped

You have to reset the remote. It happens occasionally. There's a reset button on the Wii near the memory slot card (it's red) and a reset button on the back of the Wii remote (also red). Turn the system off. While you're turning in back on, press and hold the reset button on the Wii for a few seconds, and then press and hold the reset button on the remote. Then when you try to use the remote, it should be working. There are more detailed instructions in the manual that came with the Wii. This has happened to us a few times for no reason, but this always fixes it.

The optical laser in the backside? Optical mice (battery-powered extraordinarily) blink while not in direct use. From some thousand pulses according to 2d, to a minimum of one or 2 a 2d in case you have not touched it for a on an identical time as. it quite is a potential-saving element.
