This is great, they ONLY have a platform because we buy that mind rot that comes out of Hollywood, so in a way, they are like are politicians. We 'elect' them through our money, so they should listen to us.
Better yet, if the Demoncrats push through the 'fairness' doctrine, will all these rich, elite, celebs have to shut up???

Celebrities are people just like anyone else and can have political opinions. That being said, since they hold considerable influence over some of the... let's say dumber members of our society, they should be polite and respectful with what they say. If they want to contribute real ideas, they have the freedom to do so. When most celebrities talk about politics, it's usually very stupid, uninformed and narrow-minded, but you can't take that right of free speech away from them just because you don't like it.

No, all people should be politically educated. What's wrong is when they alienate those who buy tickets to see their movies with their very public endorsements of politicians. I have stopped going to certain celebrities movies because I can't stomach their blatant use of their celebrity to support politics.
If they feel that passionately about politics they should run for office.

EVERYONE should stay out of politics -- celebrity or not -- because there are way too many "political" Supreme Court Justices who won't do their jobs right and are not allowing the democratic process to work as it should.

They have just as much right to speak out as anyone. If you don't like it, then turn it off or tune it out - really pretty simple. By the way:
Ronald Reagan
Sonny Bono
Arnold Schwarzenegger (sp)
Shirley Temple Black
Clint Eastwood
All Hollywood, all Republicans. Guess it's okay if they're Republicans...

The have the same right to an opinion as the rest of us. They get media time because they are celebrities....
You also have the right to NOT listen to them, NOT pay to see their films, NOT watch them on television....
It's a free country, bub...

I think we all should be very honest as we dissect their wayward, trashy, insignificant lifestyles. I wouldn't believe a word any of them said!!!!!!!
