Boy, you sound almost like me, few years back. Some of your descriptions is identical to the hell that i was into. But my problem was, my neck, a extreme burning sensation in my spine, right middle of my neck. the only way to calm it down was, to lay down. Normal pills, couldn't do a thing. Nobody could find the problem, few specialist and lots of Electra test( I'm not sure if i spell this correctly or remember it correctly, since i didn't want to remember any thing from those years!) which was quite unpleasant. Any how, after almost 3 years and simply lost every thing, i mean flat out. All the savings, business, car, just not to end up on the street. Sorry to make this long, but i just want you to know that i feel for you and i never want, that happens to any one. After i lost every thing in my possession, i finally find a experienced specialist who thought STRESS is causing this and after few simple test, he injected ANTI-AGENT right where the pain was, in my neck and that's it, brother!
Just you know that, I was 38 YO, at the time an have always been martial artist but no injury of any kind just normal fights and blah, blah,..in case to mention it to your doctors. And at last, be careful with some of these doctors/specialist. Some are, real morons. I still don't get it, how one can find the cure and the other has no clue? JUST BE CAREFUL!

Here is the rule I use in the clinic: every shoulder patient is really a neck patient until I can prove that they are not. Some of your symptoms may suggest a neck problem. I can't comment specifically, since I don't know how you injured yourself.
If you were hurt a month ago, and you are getting worse not better, you need to get back with your doctor to see what else can be done. You would likely benefit from referral for physical therapy, so they can more specifically diagnose your problem, deal with your neck if necessary, and get you moving again.
Depending on your insurance, you may need an order from the doc to go to PT. Go to APTA.org, click on "find a PT", and search your home area.
Good luck!

You need to check in with the doctor. Tingliness in the fingers means a nerve pinched somewhere, especially since the pain is also going up your neck. It might go away by itself, or could get worse and cause permanent damage to the nerve. More importantly, if your fingers are swelling sometimes, something may be impinging on your circulatory system -- fluid builds up because it can't get back to the heart because a circulatory pathway is blocked.
This could all be caused by a tight muscle, and massage or physical therapy will take care of it (I'm a massage therapist). But the doctor can take x-rays or MRI's and make sure nothing else is happening first.

here's what you can do before you go to the dortor again i recommend you to go to massage therapy. it could be your trapezius muscle, this muscle are connected to your neck and your shoulder blade. you said your having a pain down to your arms and fingers, and feel sometimes a tingley that means your having a carpal tunnel syndrome but don't worry im not gonna recommend you to the surgery. like i said go to massage therapy first and they can work on your shoulder, neck, low back, and your hand. this are only a mucsle pain need to losin up all the toxin. i can say this coz i am a massage therapist. hope this one will help you.

This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Try out some home remedies. You can also look for information in the web that give you home remedies. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html
