I got stretch marks when I was, like, 12, and my breasts developed. Anyone can get stretch marks--I've seen them on (male) body-builders.

And, yes, they do start out red-purple, and they fade, over time, to a sort of pearly white. But it takes years for them to fade out. And even then, they leave a slight, shallow impression (like a long "dent") in the skin. All-in-all, they're not too terrible. They're just bad for ones vanity and ones sense of attractiveness.

Wow! That was a big baby! Congratulations!
The stretch marks will fade over time to a white or silvery color. I have some on my hips and tummy and they aren't really noticeable except in certain light. Not really anything you can do about them....those creams and lotions and stuff they sell for tons of $$$$ don't work so don't waste your money.
Look at them proudly, don't be embarrased by them. Almost all moms have them...and believe me, guys don't care. At least not the guys that are really worth a sh*t.
Hey, even guys get stretch marks. From gaining weight and losing it and also from gaining muscle thru working out alot.

They will turn to a more white color later. Try cocoa butter cream but they will not go away. SORRY Do not try vapor rub, I don't think it will harm you but it will be a waste of time.

your stretch marks will fade with time, but they will not disappear totally. alot of women use vitamin e, or aloe lotions to help them fade. vapor rub does not help. check with your doctor or look in the isle where lotions are sold

hello, your stretchmarks will shrink and fade so they will become less noticeable. you could use something with cocoa butter to keep your skin soft but i'm afraid they won't disappear completely. and no to the vapour rub!
