I noticed that most Asians love that song by G. Micheal's "Careless Whisper." They usually sing this song in the Kareoke. So for Paul Kim, an Asian guy, to perform this song reminds me of him singing in Kareoke. And what's worse, he couldn't even do the high pitch. It was really terrible for him to have chosen that song. He talked about trying to get away from Asian stereo type but he did do himself with that song! What an idiot. I thought he had a decent voice but that song ruined him of once in a lifetime chance. Anyone agrees?

And what's with him not wanting to wear shoes. He's digging himself a hole by being difficult like that in a such competition where image is just as important. What an idiot! He's going to look back in his old age and regret for not wanting to wear his shoes.

I totally agree! I liked him before. That high part was the worst! I was cringing. I felt bad because I thought he was really good before! I hope he doesn't get voted off. And that not wearing shoes thing is a little weird. I liked what Simon said last night when he said "put your shoes back on!". It was funny!

Hi. I just watched Tuesday night's American Idol. I TIVO'd it, since I wasn't home last night. I don't want to carry on about the Asian stereotype because I hate doing that, however, I have to agree with you about his performance. He sounded like he was singing bad Kareoke and his barefeet just didn't come off as trendy or different -- instead it was just weird!
You know, I wouldn't be surprised if he was voted off this week!
I think he has a good voice but if he's lucky enough to last until next week's competition, I feel he's going to have to pick a better song and make it his own. Also, people are going to get tired quick of seeing his barefeet. Yuck!

Paul sounded like a fog horn. he replaced into consistently off key. And Sanjaya sounded like a susceptible Michael Jackson additionally off key yet he replaced into squeaky and not foggy singing over the notes and not under the notes.
