It should be on the lining of your inside pocket, but I`ve noticed lately they seem to be sewing them to the cuff off the jackets so it shows on the outside (especially the designer jackets,coats etc) which quite frankly looks ridiculous and should be removed not left on so everyone knows you have a spent lots on a designer garment

if you mean the label as in size...
try under the collar, inside back
but if you mean a trademark, like ralph lauren
then it will be below your left hand shoulder

on the left hand side down near the bottom, well at least it should be, if not try looking up the sleeve.
