Who voted on those as the top goals? Seriously, maybe if you had a story behind them they would be impressive but some of them you have to wonder when viewed just as a goal why they were on. Anyway I still see nothing impressive about Ovenchick's goal So he hit the puck after he was down, the Goalie was also down and beat. Now Jagr, that was impressive and it didn't even make their list? Come on now. I remember he was with the Pens. He took the shot was being taken down from behind as he shot. The rebound came back to him as he was on his stomach. He lifted his stick up, but still below the crossbar so not a high stick, and hit the puck into the net. He had to BEAT THE GOALIE still. Plus he was doing it while on his stomach. Far more impressive then half of those. Heck with the Gretzky one I see nothing impressive as a GOAL. The goalie was beat on the wrong side. Even I could have put that in, never would have made the team but still. All he did was go around the net and it was WIDE OPEN for him. Nope that AS A GOAL doesn't impress me. See I am going by GOAL not by the story behind them.

Sorry man you left out the best goal of all time Bobby Orr from Derek Sanderson in game 4 of 70-71(?) Stanley Cup Finals. Sanderson feeds Orr from behind the net Orr shoots and scores and before the puck goes in he is tripped and flies across the net with stick in the air.Winning the Stanley Cup for the Boston Bruins in overtime 4 games to 0.

Wayne Gretzky comes around the back of the net and banks a shot off Felix Potvin to seal the game, the hat trick, and the series. 1993. Also Gretzky took his stick like a baseball bat and whacked a puck out of the air from between the circles to beat the Vancouver goaltender. I think both of these are on the nHl greatest goals DVD-I think.

The Owen Nolan goal was great, pointing out his shot, what a stud move. But I have to agree the Bobby Orr Goal probably best of all time.

I thought that Malik's goal was the best. That is why it is #1. However, I don't think it is the greatest goal of all time. That would be Mark Messier's goal that won the Rangers their first Stanley Cup in 54 years.

Oh come on !!! That's the "BEST" -- no way !!!!

Bobby Orr's Cup-winning goal in 1970 and Guy Lafleur's slapshot past Cheevers in 78 are both the absolute tops of all time
