Do you want them to see you quitting when they look down at you? What do you think they would have thought about that? They'd be disappointed. You should continue being a fire fighter to honor them, and to try and save someone from the same situation. Stay strong.

First off my condulences to you and the families of the victims. Second, anyone who risk there lives for others , is a hero to me.
Now why should you do it. Well obviously you like helping others in there time of needs. It's a job that is not for everyone. You need to also ask yourself this, if it had been you, would you wanted your friends to stop what they were doing? Do you think they would want you to stop?
I know this has to be a very very rough time for you, take a break, maybe go on vacation to someplace where you can refect on yourself and I know you will find all the right answers. Good luck to you..

If your heart sincerely likes helping others, I would say keep going no matter how large the hurdle.
