The Last Mile of the Way. It can be found in many hymn books. Some of the words are below.. not sure if it's appropriate for your uncles service or not, but I have sung it a few times at funerals.

If I walk in the pathway of duty,
If I work till the close of the day,
I shall see the great King in His beauty,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.

Refrain:
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way,
I will rest at the close of the day;
And I know there are joys that await me,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.

Amazing Grace. Its a powerfull song when sung at a funeral and most people know the words to the first two stanzas. Have the words printed, your church should be able to help you with this.

Go rest High on that mountain by Vince Gill.

I know your life
on earth was troubled
and only you could know the pain.
You weren't afraid to face the devil,
you were no stranger to the rain.

(CHORUS)
Go rest high on that mountain
son, your work on earth is done.
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
love for the Father and the Son.

Oh,how we cried the day you left us
we gathered round your grave to grieve.
I wish i could see the angels faces
when they hear your sweet voice sing.

I'm sorry about your loss. "I Walk In the Garden" is a beautiful song!!!!

Lyrics: I walk in the garden alone,
while the due is still on the roses, etc.

BTW: The song that "passagere" suggested, is by Mike & the Mechanics (correct me if I'm wrong)
