for TV draw up a storyboard idea for your show and send it to your local TV station. if you get some interst you could look into getting an agent and taking it to a production company.
for a magazine, do a mock up of your first issue and see your local newspaper distributor, even if it's a free paper, see what they think, if it's good they might show some interest.
try and get some work experience in a TV station or at a newspaper then work your way up to the ppl who can help get your show/magazine in the public's face

suited, i'm 51, so i will a minimum of inform you what *I* watch :-) at present, my 2 renowned shows are gray's Anatomy and CSI. I also watch fairly some PBS stuff - I particularly like Nova (are you able to tell i'm somewhat a technologies geek??). therefore a lengthy way as i'm stressful, Oprah, the "We" channel, and lifetime are easily insipid; they seem a reliable thanks to position your options to sleep on an eternal starting up. As to magazines - i respect medical American, community Peoples (i'm Cherokee/Choctaw/Chickasaw), Time, nationwide Geographic mag, Smithsonian mag, the Mensa Bulletin (i'm a member of Mensa), and Log abode dwelling (as i wish to construct a log abode in Washington state). What i do unlike are all those stupid "women human beings human beings's magazines" that you note on the checkout counter - i imagine of they are meant for those with an IQ smaller than their shoe length; i understand for certain that they are dull previous concept! i do no longer understand if i'm basic or no longer, yet those are my own options - wish that promises you somewhat the information you want.

Television shows have staff writers that create ideas and write storylines for their television program.
Unsolicited ideas are tossed in the trashcan to avoid possible lawsuits regarding unsolicited material.
If you have an agent, write a "treatment," for the show. When written, give it to your agent and see if your agent will "pitch it" to the producers.
