When in the tanning bed this afternoon, I looked down at my engagement ring and noticed that some of the stones were glowing blue...is this just the diamond's coloring being brought out by the ultraviolet lights or what?

I've never been in a tanning bed but that sounds like a fair assumption. The diamonds will reflect the existing light and in some cases it will intensify the light.

Some of your diamonds have mineral inclusions that are fluorescing. You should probably not wear your ring in the tanning bed. Sometimes the minerals can undergo a permanent color change.

It's just the UV light. (Your ring should look really good when you have wrinkles & sunspots all over from the tanning!) Get the message? Tanning is very bad for your skin!

yes. Be careful because some of the lotions that you use in tanning beds can really make a diamond dirty and less radient.
