im pondering this question for myself and have looked at the best option on ebuyer, value for money would sugget that ebuyer is the best. but i then went to dell and to be honest for the same price as the one on ebuyer i was getting one dell of a machine.
how old r the kids, if they are into computer games you will nedd quite a powerful machine to keep up with the new fab games.
dell allow you to pick each component piece by piece with advice along the way where as ebuyer you get what your given kind of attitude.
i think im going with the dell which also includes 19" flat screen monitor:)
im looking to spend about 500. i dont know if thats out of your budget but i thnk thats abargin and thats with vat and delivery included and also windows vista.

beware on the dell site once you selct your comp about 100 gets added to the final price as it automaticallys selects the protection plan, i just diasbled this.

ebuyer is also just as good a site but not as much value for money, although if you are wanting a cheaper option they do have some low spec machines excluding monitor or you could try ebay.

If looking to buy online I would certainly take a look at:

ebuyer.com

They can supply some great basic systems at some very cheap prices.

Good luck

Try "Toys R us", as they have a very good selection going right up to decent spec. machines - mainly the "Medion" or "Cybermax" brands when I last looked.
