my friend Joey is a homosexual.
he hates to be called homosexual but he doesnt mind ****** or queer. Would that offend you?

It's kind of like blacks and the N word. It's not the word itself better rather the use of it. For example calling someone a "Queer" CAN be offensive, but saying that you support Queer rights or that you have Queer friends is totally benign. Like the poster before me though I agree, they're just words.

I dont get offended by words. Thats just what they are. Words. I love my life, I love myself and am very happy with who I am. I dont care about other peoples opinions or words. If they are calling someone names, they are the ones that obviously have issues and are miserable on the inside. Not me.

I have no problem with the term homosexual, but I have a huge problem with queer and especially ******.

No it does not, and the fewer people it does offend, the less it will be used as a slur

I am straight and it offends me. Don't use slurs against people. It is uncalled for and just plain rude. There is nothing wrong with homosexuality.

p.s. that latest question u answered about the guy who was cured from being gay, u made a bit of a point about the 'disease' part, but if u thot nobody cared, then why answer the question??
and about the bible-thumper, part, u make Christianity sound like a BAD thing!!

I prefer to be called a "guy"..... simple as that...... my sexuality is part of who I am, it does not define my as a person...... BTW, I am out of the closet and very comfortable being gay.
