Can you visit a nursing home if you have been arrested for solicitation 10 years ago?

In most nursing homes or state facilities you can't work there if you have criminal history in the last 7 years or a history of violence. However, they have no way to complete a background check on a visitor. They can deny you access to their property for other things like disruptive behavior, intoxication, etc, but not for that.
