Liberal Professor Targeted Me From Day One, Says Christian Student
By Meghan Mulhern

(CNSNews.com) - A Christian social work student who took Missouri State University to court after a liberal professor targeted her for refusing to lobby for homosexual adoption said Thursday she and the teacher had clashed over her beliefs from day one.

Emily Brooker was vindicated when the university agreed to an out-of-court settlement, and the professor was disciplined.

In her suit, Brooker, who has since graduated, accused the university of violating her First Amendment right to free speech by exercising her Christian convictions.

Brooker brought the case after the professor, Dr. Frank G. Kauffman, filed a "level three" grievance against her - the most serious in the school's disciplinary system - after they clashed over an advocacy assignment.

Back in the 60s they found that it was a good way to score with the chicks! Protest the Vietnam War, God is dead so on and so forth. Back then these were new and Revolutionary ideas, flawed as they were, bit got them laid. Now they miss the glory days and want them back. The mentality is to bring back those days..... and the chicks!

It is important to note that this is in a "Soical Work" program which has a specific code of ethics and accreditation standard both of which speak to advocacy and non-discrimination based on sexual orientaiton. A student in a social work program who can not, will not and does not support the aims, goals, mission and practice principles of social work, should not be a social worker. A level 3 grievence is to look specifically if the student should be a SW student. Seems very appropriate to me. Disappointing that the university backed down. DA

That seems to be the sole thank you to get people to do the acceptable suited element, despite if their reasons are stupid.

Educators have shaped American economic and political thought since the very beginning, They have led the way from traditional liberalism with its emphasis on natural rights and individual freedom to present-day liberalism with its concern for social reform and economic redistribution. And if it is true that there has been a “leftward shift” on campuses during the past two decades, we must brace for similar moves in public policy . They may even lead to a political command system with a myriad of economic regulations and controls, with rampant inflation and price and wage controls. We had better brace for more to come.

Excellent article. Spend the time and read the whole thing.

Because liberals rule education. Liberals do not believe in standards of behavior, which is a major tenet of Christianity. Liberals are anti-American because they do not believe it is fair that some have wealth and many do not.

Most people are liberal, because most people haven't much of a brain to differentiate between common sense, and BS. Remember Affirmative Action? Being politically correct? All of it created by Liberals! Why? To get their agenda forced into society, to get their "believer's" to get jobs they don't deserve, or didn't work as hard for. These professor's, got less on their SAT scores, than Joe, but got into a college, and other job's because their color was non-white. Did you happen to notice that most of these professor's you speak of are NOT white? There you go! Affirmative Action has caused this result of hater's to America. They don't understand freedom, and most of them never earned it! I am no racist, by the way, Libs, as y'all are sure to call me, but a realist. It is the same as implanting the USA with co-ops from China, and USSR. It was tried. Our worst enemy are Liberals. Remember one of their chants from the 60's, during Vietnam? "Death to America". We had best listen, or their desire for us will come true. Never doubt it.

Professors fear that someday, they may actually have to work at producing something tangible. So they come to despise all forms of capitalism--most especially those who participate in it with any success. Is there any difference between their attitude toward politics and economics and the attitudes of welfare people? Zero.

What does "so many" mean? That's lingo an ignorant person uses. Be specific like most Americans can't be bacause of their lack of quality education. Just pretend you got a worthwhile education and imagine you had intellect. Then you can rephrase the question so it does not sound so subjective. How many is "so many"? Isn't " so so many" what you really mean, as in "most"? I find most Americans tearfully deficient in thinking.

Sounds like the professor should have been disciplined, but I'm not sure how anti-christian equals anti-american in your mind. That is nowhere in the article.
