Yes and no. An Amreican Theologian, R.B. Theme called it the law of volitional responsibility. It seems that the good we do indeed comes back to us.
At least it has in my life, including a sizeable inheritance from an elderly friend that has allowed me to live and do things that a lot of people only dream of.
Why? Because I was there to do things for her after her husband died. I didn't do all that much I thought, but alas, she said without someone to drive and help her in general matters (she was blind) she could not have made it.
I am still in awe!
"Do right with people and don't worry about the outcome."

Keep thinking that it's crap. That's up to you. But there is something called Karma as well. If you do horrible things to others do you actually think that the sh!t won't come back to you and bite you in the @ss? Because if that's what you truly believe, then you have some real growing up to do.

i dont think its total crap . it can depend on how you look at different situations. and the length of time it takes to come around. but i think .(what goes round ,always comes around ,which ever way you wish to look at it)

Like the threefold thing the wiccans believe in, I'm not sure I totally believe it. I think we should be mature and responsible enough not to do bad things because they are bad, not because we're afraid of being punished. Unfortunately, most people aren't, so this kind of story is made up to try and make them behave.

I totally agree with most of the answers. It takes time but "WHAT GOES AROUND DOES COME AROUND". But one should need to stay steady throughout.

Sometimes it takes a while for the Great Wheel of Karma to come back around... and run over someone!

Sometimes in life you may do something which is bad and people do say that particular saying. However it may happen it may not happen straight away, and you may not even associate the two things, but what the heck if it does actually happen , people still do bad things whether or not there are repercussions.

I believe this is true. You treat someone bad, you'll be treated the same way. It's like saying treat others how you would wanted to be treated
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is the way it's really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Shoulda known better when you came around
That you were gonna make me cry
It's breaking my heart to watch you run around
Cause I know that you're living a lie
But that's ok baby, cause in time you will find
What goes around, goes around, goes around, comes all the way, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, comes all the way, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, comes all the way, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, comes all the way, back around
