I am trying to find out the name of a movie that I saw on video years ago. I'm not sure if it is really an indie or just never got much exposure. If I remember right it was about a guy (early 20s probably) moving to NYC (I think from midwest) and he meets a girl (they might have become roommates). It was a romantic comedy (pretty funny). At one point his family visits. The girl was quite attractive. None of the stars were recognizable at that point. I realize that is pretty sketchy information, but I just can't remember anything else except that I really liked it. I waded through pages upon pages on Netflix hoping to run across it and couldn't find it.

If you can remember any person involved with the movie (actors, director, producer, etc) try IMDB.com. It's the Internet Movie Data Base. Every movie, actor, director, gaffer, editor, etc ever registered there will link to just about any movie ever made! You can also try ifilm.com.
