Seasons change depending where you live and what time of year it is, a little clarification please.

The seasons change on the 21st or 22nd of a given month.

Winter begins Dec 21 (or 22) known as winter solstice
Spring begins Mar 21 (or 22)
Summer begins June 21 (or 22) known as summer solstice
Fall or Autumn begins Sept 21 ( or 22)

However, that does not necessarily mean that the weather changes on these dates. Just ask some one in Wisconsin if Mar 21 "feels" like spring!

California really only experiences 2 seasons. Alaska's winter weather lasts longer than the allotted 3 months.

Start in December of the last year then that is winter. It stays around for about 4 months into the new year. March 22 is really officially Spring and then in June on the 23 is Summer. I believe that October will start Fall.

Hope that helps, It differs from the northern states and the southern states.

On New Years Day...we are in Winter (Unlike the Southern Hemisphere..in Summer)...it ends March 21/22 or so.
Culturaly, most people say "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter" If you talk about the Spring of life..you mean a young person..whereas a person in the Autumn or Winter would be older.

I guess if you went by the "calendar year" the first season would be Winter and ends On March 21.
