I think everyone goes through this at one time or another. Buying a home is not a run-of-the-mill thing to most of us. Alot of money exchanging hands and its a big commitment. I found that thinking of what I could do if things did fall through helped. I always concentrated on the possibility of the deal going south and not about what to do if it did. When you have that figured out its alot easier to, in your mind, accept the possibility this may not happen and if doesn't everything will be ok.

Owning your own home is soooooooooo cool. Stress out if that's your thing, but it's really just wasted energy. Once you move in -- it's YOUR place. No landlords, no annoying barking pets 2 apartments above you, no water rushing through the pipes of your upstairs neighbor each time he flushes a toilet.
The lawn is yours. The flower beds, blooming trees in your yard -- are yours. The deck you sit on to watch the sun set, or the vista of deer at the creek are YOURS to enjoy.
Look forward to where you are going, and not back at where you are coming from. If everything is approved... relax. Soon enough you'll be in your new place, bags at your feet, thankful at how lucky you are to have a piece of the American Dream... and wondering what color you should paint the walls, or what type furniture you'll need.

Everyone, im sure, goes through this...I have gone through it...and it eventually worked out. Yes there will be a lot of stress but you just have to push it away and look forward. Just never loose hope...if you are religious...pray about it...God is always there for any body that needs some help in life.

I'm a realtor. My clients are always stressed. You are normal. Just chill out and remember that your realtor doesn't get paid if you don't close. Therefore, they will do everything in their power to keep the deal together. Drink some wine and take a bubble bath!

Actually, Wes G has it ALMOST right. Take the bubble bath FIRST and THEN drink the wine.
I tell my clients that the stress is normal and they can cry if they feel like it but only after 8 PM.
Good Luck.

don't speak the negative into existence!
i WISH i was in your shoes because as soon as i got my key, i'd be at that house too excited to contain myself. i'd probably bring over family and friends for a pre-move in party (they'd have to bring food and chairs) but we would go room to room and i'd get decorating and color ideas, and probably some repair ideas too. after that, i'd go back and just revel in the quiet and happiness of home ownership and all that goes with it. i would be loving every minute because it would be mine. i'd be happy even with the stress of packing up to move out of the old place. you've got a piece of the pie....savor the slice.
