i jus got sims 2 but no matter how many windows i put in the house stays dark - does anyone know why or how to fix it?

their are lights and windows - when designing house and their is a missing wall the room and colours are normal but when put wall in it darkens, no amount windows or lights changes it!

Have you downloaded the patch for your game?or Just go to Options >> Graphics/Performance Options >> Lighting. and change it to High. but firstly get the patch:) it fixes a lot of problems in the game

i've got performed Sims 3 Deluxe, Sims 2, Sims 2 pets, Sims 2 Deluxe and Sims 2 castaway. i like Sims 3. try putting light fixtures in each room. i usually put about 5 ceiling lights in each and it's pretty well lit. also, when you put in the lights...you can choose auto, turn off, turn on.. i suggest the auto so that when its dark and your sim walks in that room the lights will turn on. This way you know that it works.

Maybe its night time and you forgot to install the lights

Instead of putting in sims; put in lighting.

Put lamps and stuff like that. It may look really dark, but start playing with it and it may not look so dark.

Mine was like that til I got a new graphics card.
Now its fine.

If you don't have windows, buy some that's probably what is wrong
