I recall that being a fable about who was chosen for a job - 2 candidates were taken to lunch. The boss knew who he'd hire before they began eating. One put condiments on food before tasting, the other tasted food first..person who tasted food first was chosen....

I usually put salt in soup - often before tasting it - and I always put ketchup on burgers and hot dogs - but that's about it.

Depends on the goods.

If it is ketchup or some other sauce, then no. I put ketchup on certain food - that's just the way I eat.

Salt, yeah... don't want to be over salting the food.
