It depends what type of plant it is, and whether or not she has any of them in her garden already. If you are thinking about one that looks like a tomato plant( but is not) then do not do it, she could get into trouble.

Try it and see! I remember a news story once when someone planted weed in the tubs outside a city police station and it took 6/7 months for the police to notice! lol

If you stick with whatever theme she has going she might not, if you put something new or showy she is apt to. If she spends many an hour in her garden she will definitly notice. Becareful with small non descript plants or she might pull them as weeds. And if you really wantr her to take notice plant something that is going to spread like mad JK.

That really depends on the size and layout (and current number of plants in her garden) and also on just how much time your friend spends in the garden.
Why'd you want to stealth plant anyway? Seems a weird thing to want to do.

Well, why are you thinking of planting something in her garden without her knowledge? Is it because you are nice? Or because you think her garden is out of control? Are you going to plant Mary jane and hope she doesn't notice? hmmmm....such an interesting question.

Also, if we have no idea the size or make up of the garden we can't really say. Fir instance, if it's a lawn, then yeah she will most likely notice, but if it's a mad clash of foliage then don't hold your breath. Are you guna try and grow weed there or something?

What type of plant are you talking about?
If it's the plant I'm thinking it is, then if she doesn't notice I'm sure the neighbor's will.

If she actually pays attention to her garden and tends to it, yes she'll notice. If you think she would have a problem with it, don't do it.
If it's a gift (like a nice small tree, or pretty flowers) then go ahead and suprise her. If it's what I think it is, use your own garden.
