I can send mail but not recieve, it only connects to the server when it wants and gives error
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.talktalk.net', Server: 'mail.talktalk.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
I have got the correct user name and password, also the pop3, smtp and mail server are set up correctly, I presume they are as I was aeventually able to recieve mail last night.
I have got the same problem again, any Techno's out there that can shed any light on this?
Thanks

Most of the Outlook Express error messages are due to problems with the internet connection, not the software on your computer.

I wish I had a dollar for every Outlook/OE problem people have told me about. The only long term solution is to get rid of Outlook Express!
It is largely unneeded any way, because you can get your email from a place like yahoo, and dont need to store your email on your local computer, and if you insist you need email stored on your local computer, it can be done with Thunderbird.
Outlook Express is hacked big time(because it has huge security holes) and you likely are infected with a virus from a hacker.

Oh man, my co-worker had that problem, but for some reason, it had automatically fixed itself.
My outlook here at work will sometimes go retarded, like, i will click for it to send a message, and then it freezes. And it won't matter if I restart the computer or anything. It's like its tempermental and will only work when it wants. =]

Sounds more like talkmail's servers are having issues, which is nothing any of us can do anything about. I would suggest contacting talkmail to report the issue.

You could sign up for Yahoo or MSN Hotmail, just download from their web sites. They all ways seem to work where O. E, does not.

Contact your service provider, quite often you end up making changes and it is nothing to do with your settings, make them sort it for you!!
