Chinchillas can make a few different sounds that really mean nothing at all. Here's a site I found where you can listen to sounds and then determine which sound your chin is making and why. Generally, if your chin is making a sound when it's alone in its cage by itself, this is just a harmless call, but if it's squawking when you grab it or making sounds where you can tell it is angry or scared, that's a problem. It is a warning call, it means something scared them and they are warning other chinchillas about it. If they do it often then try to figure what may happen before hand that makes them do it and try to change that. If it isn't too often I wouldn't worry about it, sometimes they just get scared.

Hey i dont know why your chinchilla is making those sounds, phone a vet they will provide the infomation you need
