UMmmmm, NO! There is this thing called perjury, and I don't want to go to jail for someone else, not matter who they are....

It would have to depend upon who it was in court, what they were there for and how I felt about the issue they were in court for. I mean if they were in court over a custody battle and they were lying saying they had a room for the child of there own but they were actually going to share with another child and this might make or break the deal sure I might lie and say that I know they have a room, but if it was for some stupid idiot who got totally drunk and killed someone of course I would not lie for them. More info would be helpful to answer this question completely.

I would not lie about evidence etc. if it pertained to something bad no matter who it was. If it wasn't anything to do with murder or something hardcore and I felt someone in my family was being framed damn straight I would lie especially for my husband, kids, or my brothers. It isn't right to lie but if I felt in my heart they were innocent and I could help them I would. I would then ask the Lord for forgiveness.

I lied to the DA and police over a domestic violence thing, but I wasn't under oath. I was in a courtroom, but I wasn't sworn in. In all honesty, I didn't want to go through the time and stress of pressing charges, but if the cops are called out, they have to file a report and issue a citation. I ended up moving out-of-state and it would've been too cumbersome to go half-way across the country for that.

You know how you have to put your hand on the Bible and swear to tell the truth, the whole truch and nothing but the truth. Well they don't have you do this just for fun. If they find out you lied on the stand you will be in big legal trouble. I'd advise you not to do this.

Depends on who it was and what it was. I'm aware that this is a morally wrong answer, but I don't think anyone can honestly answer the question without knowing the who and what.

Completely depends on the situation. But, yes, there are definitely certain situations where I would lie under oath.

An oath of truthfulness is just that. I would never lie. And none of my friends or family would ever think to ask me to do such an immoral thing.

If it was a family member on trial then I would definitely lie for them without a doubt.
