I really do understand,and i try hard not to do that.there are times when a question is totaly incomprehensible and you just have to say somthing like -Are you NUTS? or what ARE you talking about?
know whats more frustrating than being answerd with a question? A psychotic diatribe or racial slur disguised as a question. thats totally rude.

I think it's proper only if preceded or followed by a statement. Some times it's the only thing that fits.

Sometimes people ask weird questions to which total strangers can not give answers.
for example... should I date my workmate.
How can a stranger answer this. The only person who can rightly say is myself.
People can however ask me other questions which might make me find my own answer.
for example.
Do you like him? or Does he Like you?
