The responder said that 'liberals want to be your mommy, conservatives want to be your daddy. Grow up and vote libertarian.' Is this an accurate take on government?

and abortion views from 'conservatives (not real conservatives, as we believe the government needs to stay out of the doctor's office) are EXACTLY why they are daddy. Thanks for bringing it up, not that you can EVER answer a question without bringing it up!

More and more I think this is a true statement. There was a girl named heidi on this site i can't find anymore, but she said that libertarianism is the true conservatism. I believe her now.

Not quite. The quote seems to imply that libertarian is a third option seperate from liberal or conservative. However, libertarians are ultra-conservatives, so I don't see how they can be a third alternative.
Generally speaking: liberals want huge government, real conservatives want small government, and libertarians want virtually no government.

I think it would be more accurate if changed slightly:
"Liberals want to be your mommy, conservatives don't want to be your sugar daddy. Grow up and take care of your damn self....Vote libertarian if your biggest concern is legalizing drugs."

Conservatives don't want to be "your daddy." That's the last thing they want to be, and it's a ridiculous description.
Such an assertion could only make sense to someone who thinks abortion is "guaranteed" by the Fourth Amendment (LMAO!), and whose personal experiences influence her opinions on public policy.

I think I see where they're coming from, but I believe it's too simple to accurately reflect the parties.

Sounds like a base overly simplistic way of describing things. Saves the time of actually looking into things.

grow up and realize libertarians need to get a candidate on every ballot, before intelligent people waste their votes on them.

I think liberals want what you have without working for it.
It is possible that the Republicans if they do not share in the spoils of their production ar eno better. It is the same if that is the case for either way both party just wants to make money of you.
