My husband and I have a home based online business that may be right for you. I can't really give a lot of details here since it's against the rules of this site but if you're interested send me an email and I'll write back to you with more details.

Two approaches, something that you like and are really good at (like a service company, distributorships) or something that you think you can stand to do that will make money (bar, restaurant, carpet cleaning etc.) So here is the thing: many people know how to do something like service cars or remodel but they do not know how to run a business. You have to be able to run a business as well as do whatever the business product or service is. You will need a business plan showing that you can do both if you are looking for funding for your business, so study up on both aspects.

eBay is a good option. You can pick your product line, start small, and build your business as you go along. It worked for me.
You may find this guide helpful in getting started on eBay. It is written from my own experience from selling for 4 years. I've sold about 12,000 items during that time. I've learned alot along the way by trial and error and hope to save others some time and mistakes! I didn't have anyone helping me, so I hope I can help others do this, too.
I haven't made a million dollars, and don't promise that you will. But, I have made several thousand dollars doing this and been able to work at home. Plus, it is fun!

This guide explains what kinds of things to sell, where to find them, how to use eBay, about shipping, and to get started TODAY, with no financial investment.
Best of luck to you!
