Rancid is very Clash-influenced.
Joe Strummer, the frontman of the Clash, has another project called The Pogues, which takes his music in a more Irish-traditional direction, but is still very interesting.

the clash are too good to be compared to other bands..
but other good bands from way back are:

Misfits
