Are people like Brittany Spears and Parris Hilton Running around carrying out their lives as they do? Do their families not care? Do people not care that people such as this are supposed to be role models for our children?

I don't think that they are role models... (when I have kids) They shouldn't be caught up in the media ... their role models should be their teachers, coach's, peers ...
The only people that should be to blame for kids not acting correctly is the parents... get your children involved...
If my mother didn't make me quit every fricken sport I played because she worked too much I would probably have not gotten into so much trouble..
ps. WHO EVER SAID CELEBRITIES ARE ROLE MODELS...?

Brittany is/was considered a role model, but I don't think anyone ever saw Paris Hilton or Anna Nichole as role models. At least I hope they didn't. And no, I don't think their families care at all, which is very sad.

Brittany and Parris, it seems, are not ready or prepared to be role models. They are trying to cope with their lives, and are not doing so well. They just happen to be in the spotlight while doing it. They are merely human.

My 12 year old daughter use to like Brittany Spears and now thinks she is disgusting. She wont even listen to her music.
They need to get there act together, hopefully for Brittany's sake she will keep herself checked in and get well.
As for Paris Hilton, we are all sick of seeing her.

Why would any intelligent person choose these people as role models?
If anything, I would consider them great "bad examples".
Responsible parents would consider this type of news as a great "teachable moment".
